An Early Spring Evident In 2014 Baton Rouge Real Estate?
This past week, yes in late January 2014 and on bitter cold but sunny day, I was in Glenwood Subdivision 70806 performing a Baton Rouge Mortgage Refinance Home Appraisal. As I was taking the 2 street scenes and homes across the street from subject photos, I noticed rose bushes with leaves, vibrant pine trees and even oak trees full of leaves. Yes, there was dead looking foilage, but there was remarkable color in the vegatation in this subdivision. As I watched this beauty in the absolutely horrible dead of Winter ( YES, I DESPISE SEASON OF “WINTER”) I began to wonder if an early spring was possible this year?
I must say that I’ve lived in Louisiana most of my life except for a 2 year tour in the U.S. Army and I can’t ever remember it being this cold for this long. Winter 2013 was very mild and short lived. In Baton Rouge in 2014, we’ve experienced an Arctic Vortex, then icy conditions so bad major roads were closed down for 2 days and my family couldn’t travel to Vidor Texas for a Bible Quiz Tournament and now this week a polar plunge. THIS WINTER WEATHER ABSOLUTELY SUCKS! So, lets hope for an early Spring in Baton Rouge Real Estate.
